The Workforce Leadership & Sustainability Initiative is the nonprofit division of the Center for Coaching Strategies dedicated to strengthening workforce sustainability, leadership development, and career mobility across Oregon communities and beyond. Our organization was created in response to the growing workforce challenges impacting Early Childhood Education professionals, youth, emerging leaders, and helping professionals, including burnout, workforce shortages, limited leadership pathways, and barriers to long-term professional growth and sustainability. Through coaching-informed programming, reflective leadership practices, workforce readiness training, and relationship-centered learning experiences, we work to build stronger leaders, healthier organizations, and more sustainable communities.
The Workforce Leadership & Sustainability Initiative currently supports two core programs:
Early Childhood Education Emerging Leaders Cohort
Youth Workforce Readiness Program
Together, these programs are designed to expand leadership opportunities, strengthen workforce readiness, increase professional confidence, and create accessible career pathways for individuals across Oregon communities and beyond.
Our work integrates:
Leadership development
Workforce sustainability practices
Reflective learning
Communication skill building
Coaching-informed support
Career pathway exploration
Bilingual and inclusive programming
We believe workforce development is about more than technical skills alone. Sustainable leadership grows through relationships, reflection, communication, confidence, and meaningful community support.
As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to creating accessible, equitable, and community-centered programs that strengthen both individual growth and long-term workforce resilience throughout Oregon.
