Grant Management

When CS serves in a grant-management or Backbone Agency capacity for a funded project, our current Grant Management Fee is 12%, and we review the rate annually to ensure it reflects the administrative responsibilities, organizational capacity, and infrastructure required to support funded projects.

Start With Your Idea

You don't need a completed proposal or even an identified grant opportunity to begin. Project planning with CS is available at no cost. Visit our Contact page to review current booking options and select the type of conversation that best fits your needs.

You bring the idea. We help build the structure that can move it forward.

Have an idea for a project, program, event, or community initiative but aren't sure how to move it forward? Start with the idea. Coaching Strategies helps individuals and organizations turn promising ideas into thoughtfully planned, fundable projects. We provide initial project planning at no cost, giving us an opportunity to explore your idea, clarify what you want to accomplish, and determine whether grant funding is an appropriate next step.

Formal Grant Development Preparation

CS's grant development capacity is supported by completion of a 50-hour Program Development and Proposal Writing course through the American Grant Writers Association. Formal training includes:

  • Grant seeking and funding research

  • Program development and logic models

  • Foundation and corporate proposals

  • Government grant applications

  • Evaluation planning

  • Letters of inquiry

  • Project and budget narratives

  • Nonprofit and federal grant budgets

  • Professional standards and ethics

More Than Writing the Application

Successful grant-funded work requires more than a strong proposal. It requires a well-designed project, realistic budget, clear outcomes, accountable partnerships, and the infrastructure to carry the work forward. That is the value of the Coaching Strategies Backbone Agency approach. We help connect the idea, funding strategy, people, systems, implementation, and accountability needed to move a project from possibility to impact.
